Gina Farese is a wife and mother of two beautiful daughters. She was raised in the construction industry, watching her father run his roofing business, whose father was also in construction while her father was growing up. Gina graduated high school at 16 years old and went straight to college, earning her BS in Finance at the age of only 19 years old. She spent the ages of 18-19 working in Investment Banking on Wall Street and soon realized it was not for her. She then got involved in her father's construction business and taught herself the business from the ground up, starting with ripping roofs, cleaning up sites, and doing whatever it took to learn every aspect of the business so she could one day be the most effective business owner she could be.
Gina finds the problems in her industry and builds businesses around creating solutions. Several years ago, Gina underwent an entire company takeover of her father’s construction business. While she was doing that, she was also running her solar service division, assisting homeowners in need who have had solar panels installed on their homes and were left without warranties, companies that went out of business to assist them with their problems, and other national companies that do not have the bandwidth to service their homeowner’s. Gina created a division of the construction business to solely focus on the issues in the solar industry and the issues homeowners face that most solar companies do not focus on; service work. She is also an installation entity to install solar for solar companies who are great at selling their systems and processing but need a reliable installation partner.
Over the last 2 years, Gina also noticed that solar companies who have a lot of involvement with roofing have tried to or wanted to create a roofing division because of the number of roofs solar companies encounter. Gina created a systemic platform where she goes into a solar company and creates a roofing division for them where she in turn, manages it and creates a profitable roofing division with her knowledge and expertise for the solar company, where in most cases, they were either losing money or breaking even by incorporating roofing in their solar project. Some solar companies even attempted to create their own roofing company and failed, so Gina assists them in making this possible for these companies.
Gina is currently working on an educational program on roofing for solar to educate solar companies nationwide on the things they are missing or doing wrong, costing them tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars annually on install errors that, with the proper education, could likely be avoided. This educational platform will also benefit roofing companies to learn how to get into the solar industry to assist with roof leak troubleshooting, system maintenance, and removal and reinstalls, because who better to trust to put holes in your roof than the roofer?
Finally, Gina is on the Board of Directors of Long Island Builders Institute and chairs both LIBI's Young Professionals Committee and The Remodeler's Committee.
